Shane F. Loomis is the former President and board member of the Ventura County Bar Association Family Law Bar. He is also a member of the International Academy of the Collaborative Professionals and the Coalition for Collaborative Divorce. He regularly volunteers as a settlement officer in courts in both Ventura and Los Angeles Counties. He is a regular guest speaker at Second Saturday, an organization dedicated to educating the community about alternatives to traditional courtroom litigation for resolving family law matters.
While always willing to proceed through litigation, Shane's goal is to utilize less adversarial approaches to focus on identifying creative solutions for addressing the actual needs of the parties as opposed to simply following the limited frameworks available to the court. Shane previously practiced employment law at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP in Orange County and then at Paul Hastings in downtown Los Angeles.
Shane also has more than 10 years of experience in management consulting and software design. Shane's background gives him a unique combination of skills and tools to address the complexities of property issues for families with small and family-owned businesses. His experience with alternative dispute resolution in employment cases is directly applicable to mediation and out-of-court approaches to family law cases.
